The fish market is a market along the shore of Lake Hawassa (or Awasa / Awassa)and is popular tourist attraction in Hawassa city in Ethiopia. It offers a glimpse of the local way of life, as fishermen bring to shore their fresh catch which is immediately sold to awaiting customers. There are also restaurants serving the fresh catch, in a variety of cooking styles (or served raw). There are surprisingly many hungry Marabou storks at this market.
