CGTN: Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba Looks Ahead to London IAAF World Championships.
Ethiopia's 5,000 meter world record-holder Tirunesh Dibaba has also been preparing for the IAAF World Championships in London. Dibaba, who says she is 100 percent injury-free and fit, will be focused on the 5 and 10,000 meters events in the British capital. She had previously started preparing for the marathon, but has, instead, decided to focus on the track events. Dibaba, who has won five world gold medals, will be up against compatriot Almaz Ayana - another of Ethiopia's stars. Ayana is the current 10,000 meters world champion and won the 5,000 meters title in Beijing in 2015. Ethiopia selected a team of 41 athletes to compete at the London World Championships.
